Karl Gentles, PR Strategy

Combining more than 25 years professional expertise in public relations and communications with a passion for philanthropy and social responsibility, GWG Agency Partner Karl Gentles is relentless about helping companies create an identity infused with their mission and culture highlighting their distinct qualities.  His client and professional experience spans a variety of corporate, political and nonprofit organizations.

Prior to forming The GWG Agency, Gentles was  president & CEO of Karl Gentles Public Relations, an agency he founded in 2007 after leaving the corporate world where he led corporate public relations and communications for USAA; media strategy for Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC); and a division of the Bank One marketing group. Gentles began his career as a staff assistant to U.S. Senator John McCain.

Karl is a two-time graduate of Arizona State University having earned his undergraduate degree in organizational communication and then returning to the W.P. Carey School of Business for his MBA. He holds an Accreditation in Public Relations from the Public Relations Society of America and is a past president of the Phoenix chapter.  He is a Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust Fellow and holds an executive course certificate in Nonprofit Management from the Georgetown University Center for Nonprofit and Civic Leadership, and a certificate in social entrepreneurship from the INSEAD School of Business in Fountainbeau, France. Gentles serves as public policy chair of the Greater Phoenix Black Chamber of Commerce, board and public policy member of the Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits and board member of Gamma Mu Educational Services.

Randy Goode, Brand Strategy

For more than 25 years, GWG Agency Partner Randy Goode has produced award-winning work on behalf of his clients. His commitment to clean design that creatively conveys a message while reinforcing a brand is evident in everything he produces.

During his career, Randy has used his talents to support the Arizona Cardinals, Arizona Physicians IPA, Central Arizona Shelter Services, Cox Communications, Dairy Queen, and the Phoenix Convention and Visitors Bureau, among other well-known names. His efforts have been rewarded with a 2015 Gold Astor Award for national healthcare marketing, a Bronze 2015 Stevie award in the Best Annual Report category, three (Phoenix) ADDY Awards, a Telly Award, and the American Women in Radio and Television “Best Creative Person” award for Arizona.

Randy has a bachelor of fine arts degree from Arizona State University and has served on the Phoenix Commission of Arts and Culture and the Board of Directors for the Arizona Theatre Company.

Carla Wright Gentles, Events Director
Partner, Client Services, Chief of Operations

GWG Agency Partner Carla Wright Gentles leads the agency’s client services and event planning.  She has extensive experience planning and executing memorable events, fundraisers, client receptions, galas, weddings and receptions, and motivational seminars. Carla has successfully executed events for State Farm Insurance, Back to School Clothing Drive, Bill Dickey Scholarship Association, Mayo Clinic, University of Phoenix and others.

In addition to her keen business acumen, Carla has a strong passion for serving others. A retired Army Reservist she worked her way up to the position of First Sergeant/Course Manager. She earned the Army Achievement Medal and the Army Commendation Medal and was nominated for the Non-commissioned Officer of the Year award.

Carla is a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Top Ladies of Distinction, a sustaining member of the Junior League of Phoenix, Lockheed Martin Leadership Association, and the Metropolitan Arts Council of South Carolina. She has been honored as a member of the National Dean’s List and both Who’s Who Among American Business Women and Who’s Who Among International Management. Carla received her master’s degree in business administration from Webster University, bachelor’s of science degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina, and her associate’s degree in fashion merchandising from Bauder Fashion College.

Natalie Goode
Partner, Agency Relations

Natalie Rene Goode brings a unique combination of behavioral health experience, creative design and production, writing and event planning to the Goode Wright Gentles team. She brings “Stability to the Force” with her calm demeanor, warm personality and clear-eyed insight into client and customer relations. She leads the agency’s internal operating environment focused on effective team and client relations.

She is an agent of change and seeks to promote self-sufficiency, while empowering people to take control of their lives. Her community involvement has consisted of adopting families during the holidays and difficult times throughout the year, volunteering at her children’s schools, serving on boards for non-profit organization, mentoring youth, and providing field instruction to student interns in social work, social and behavioral sciences, and family studies. She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., as an active member within Delta Beta Omega Chapter.

Natalie holds a Bachelor and Masters degree in Social Work from Arizona State University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker focusing on children, adolescents, and families. She has worked in several settings serving populations of the Southwest.
